  • Sale of City-Owned Properties:
The City of Syracuse owns numerous properties, most of which are vacant lots, which are available for purchase. Any improved properties with structures on them will be featured here as they become available; city-owned vacant lots which are available are identified on the map below.

The Department of Neighborhood and Business Development (NBD) will work with you to facilitate the sale of the property you are interested in purchasing. Most parcels will be transferred to the Greater Syracuse Land Bank to facilitate the sale. This determination will be made by City staff based on the interest that is expressed and the status of the parcel of interest.
    Purchase Property:

The City of Syracuse and the Greater Syracuse Land Bank are working together to make both city-owned and tax delinquent properties available for sale and redevelopment in Syracuse. NBD can help in determining whether a property is available, how it can be purchased and if there are any resources available for the sale. Call NBD at (315)448-8100.

Properties seized by the City of Syracuse for non-payment of taxes are available for purchase through the Greater Syracuse Land Bank (GSPDC). Available properties can be found on the Land Bank website at Call the Land Bank for more information at (315)422-2301.

If you are interested in purchasing a property which is currently privately-owned and tax delinquent, contact NBD to express your interest in the property at (315)448-8100.
